As you get better though, it becomes more and more useful. Of course, when picking the Scavenger perk you have to decide between Recon, Sleight of Hand, Blind Eye, and Extreme Conditioning. Out of all these perks, the one that competes the most is the Sleight of Hand perk, which allows you to reload faster. As you get better at the game, Sleight of Hand becomes less valuable on the other hand. The reason for this is as your aim gets better, you need less and less bullets to take down players. With that said, as you get better you will ultimately want to use Scavenger with any fully automatic Sub Machine Gun or Assault Rifle. Many of these only start with 90 bullets total, which is not very many as you can easily spend 15+ bullets on a single player if you are both strafing or if they are just outside of the accurate range of your weapon. Additionally, many Shotguns and Sniper Rifles have almost no starting ammo, and you can burn through them very quickly. This is especially the case with the AA-12, which only starts with 16 rounds. You must have Scavenger to use this weapon effectively. Light Machine Guns on the other hand do not really need Scavenger Pro at any point. With 200 starting bullets, you have to go out of your way to use them all. Scavenger & Specialist If you are using Specialist instead of the Assault or Support packages, the Scavenger Perk is a good choice for slot #2 or #3 (4 or 6 kills). This is about the time your gun will start to run out of ammo, so if you set Scavenger to unlock at this point, you can start getting ammo just when you need it.
