Modern Warfare 3 Extreme Conditioning Guide
In this Modern Warfare 3 Extreme Conditioning guide, we will be going
over this perk's function, how to unlock it and the pro version, and what the best strategies for using this
perk are.
Modern Warfare 3 Extreme Conditioning Perk - Function
The Extreme Conditioning perk takes up Perk Slot 1 and simply allows you to sprint for longer periods of time.
It does not allow you to sprint indefinitely, as you will still get tired and need to rest in between bouts of
sprinting.
The pro version allows you to jump over obstacles and climb ladders faster.
CoD MW3 Extreme Conditioning - How to Unlock
The Extreme Conditioning perk is unlocked by hitting level 21. The Pro version is simply unlocked by sprinting
for 20 miles with Extreme Conditioning equipped. You can get about .5 to 1 miles of sprinting during a single round
of Team Deathmatch, so just play a bunch of games and you will unlock it.
Modern Warfare 3 Extreme Conditioning - Best Times to Use
In all honesty, I do not think that the Extreme Conditioning perk is all that useful. The main issues I have
with this perk are that it does nothing to boost your actual power and it does not seem to even increase sprinting
endurance all that much.
There are some who might like to use Extreme Conditioning as part of an SMG or Shotgun build, but I think once
you are good with these sorts of builds you need to use Scavenger as both SMGs and Shotguns tend not to have too
much ammo.
The only gun class I would regularly use Extreme Conditioning with is a Light Machine Gun. Their clip is so big
you really do not need Sleight of Hand. However, with LMGs I think you might be better off with Blind Eye - the LMG
tends to lend itself to support so if you are going to use one you might as well be the anti-vehicle person on your
team.
Another problem with using Extreme Conditioning with an LMG is that means you cannot use Recon. Recon Pro also
works well with LMGs since they often get non-fatal hits due to their bullet spread and deep impact of their
bullets.
I can see Extreme Conditioning being useful in specific game modes where your team might want to be able to get
to certain objectives faster to take them. In a game like domination where one objective starts in the middle of
both teams, getting to that objective first and taking up a defensive position can be beneficial.
However, this would be part of a team strategy to be able to move between objectives. It needs to be
coordinated. If your team all has extreme conditioning, that can help in games like Capture the Flag. If just you
have extreme conditioning, then getting to the flag early does not help at all as you will want to wait for your
team.
Another game mode where Extreme Conditioning can come in handy is Kill Confirmed. It allows you to sprint to
snatch up dog tags and get to safety a bit easier than if you did not have that extra sprinting time.
Modern Warfare 3 Extreme Conditioning Conclusion
While Extreme Conditioning allows you to move around the map faster, it is not really that great for typical
Deathmatch games. Most players will find themselves better off sticking to either Sleight of Hand or Scavenger and
leaving Extreme Conditioning for team-oriented strategies in Domination and Capture the Flag.
