Modern Warfare 3 Blind Eye Perk Guide
In this Modern Warfare 3 Blind Eye perk guide, you will discover
everything you need to know about the Blind Eye perk. We will cover its function, how to unlock it (and the
pro version) as well as the best strategies for using this particular perk.
Modern Warfare 3 - Blind Eye Perk Function
The Blind Eye perk occupies perk slot 1 and makes you invisible to sentries and air support. Please note that
this does not mean UAVs - you need the Assassin perk to become invisible to UAVs.
Instead, this means that helicopters will not shoot you and you will not be marked a red box when players get
controllable helicopters and Predator missiles. It also means that Sentry Guns will not shoot you when you run by
them.
The Pro version reduces the amount of time it takes for lock-on rocket launchers to actually "lock on" to the
target before they can be fired. It also increases the amount of damage your bullets deal to enemy air support and
sentries.
How to Unlock the Blind Eye and Blind Eye Pro Perks
You unlock Blind Eye by reaching level 11. Blind Eye Pro is unlocked by destroying 40 enemy killstreak rewards
with Blind Eye active (i.e. helicopters, sentry guns, I.M.S., etc). You can speed up this process by equipping an
LMG or Launcher to shoot down air support as well as using EMP grenades to disable I.M.S., sentry guns, and SAM
turrets.
Modern Warfare 3 Blind Eye Guide - Strategies
For most players, the Blind Eye perk will not be your go-to perk. What I recommend is copying your class of
choice to another free class slot. Then, on that second class slot, select Blind Eye as a perk and equip a lock-on
launcher as a secondary.
Once this is done, feel free to start with your normal setup that does not include Blind Eye. Should you ever
get killed by a Helicopter in a game, just switch class over to the custom class with Blind Eye and the Launcher.
You can then take down the Helicopter and switch back to your non-Blind Eye class on your next death. This is far
more preferable than dying 3-4x in a row to the same Helicopter.
If you are using a Light Machine Gun, you may consider going with Blind Eye all the time. With the Blind Eye Pro
perk, you can quickly and easily take down a Helicopter in a few seconds just by firing your gun at it.
However, I would only do this build in Ground War or a longer game like Domination where a lot of air support is
likely to come out.
If you want to do a Team Deathmatch game and use a Light Machine Gun, make a back up class just like mentioned
above with Blind Eye equipped. This way, you can roll with Recon most of the time and if a Helicopter comes
out.
This might seem like a pain, but the truth is Team Deathmatch games end so quickly that you might only see a
single Helicopter in a game or even no helicopters at all.
Modern Warfare 3 Blind Eye Guide Conclusion
The Blind Eye perk is great for taking out Helicopters. However, if there is no Air Support on the map, it does
not serve much of a function. I recommend keeping a back-up class of your favorite class with Blind Eye equipped so
you can switch over to this perk mid-game if a Helicopter happens to kill you.
